What is Robotic S.T.E.A.M.?

Robotic S.T.E.A.M. gives kids of all backgrounds and abilities an equal chance to learn and love S.T.E.A.M. We are committed to nurturing the next generation of successful professionals, bold thinkers, and passionate leaders in a positive environment that parents can trust.

Before we tell you about all of our awesome opportunities, we want to make sure you understand what we offer.

You've probably heard of STEM programs, but we offer S.T.E.A.M. programs for children. Let's take a moment to unpack the shared features and differences:

Shared Features:
Both S.T.E.M. and S.T.E.A.M. programs offer educational components of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Even though they share similar foundations, S.T.E.A.M. and S.T.E.M. education are not interchangeable terms. S.T.E.A.M. incorporates the same foundation as S.T.E.M.; however, it also incorporates the Arts (and humanities, sometimes).

Adding the "arts" is more than just prettying up a project. The integrated arts foundation often includes skills including creativity, complex communication, empathy and humanities.

Robotic S.T.E.A.M. is an exciting, new, and innovative out-of-school time robotics program for children ages 4-12. Our program uses cutting edge technology to give children more exposure to and help them develop a love for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.).

Each month our students will do a deep dive into various subject areas such as electromagnetism, energy, biology, thermodynamics, etc. and conduct various experiments and build a corresponding robot.

Children collaborate with each other utilizing their creative, problem solving, and higher order thinking skills to build and program robots to solve the various problems that will be posed to them.

Robotic S.T.E.A.M. increases diversity in the STEM fields by creating educational opportunities for under-represented individuals. While it will be a priority for our program to serve school age children, who are deemed underrepresented in the S.T.E.M. fields, and reside in under-resourced neighborhoods, this will be an inclusive program where all individuals are welcome.

Robotic S.T.E.A.M. programs not only provide children with fun and exciting programming, it also provides a support to working parents who are in need of a safe haven for their children.
