Community Agreement

Families must attest to their child’s health prior to program start. If we all work together to mitigate the spread of illnesses (including COVID-19) our program will be a fun and healthy environment for all! If state and local authorities deem it necessary for NYC to PAUSE - our program will pause as well and resume when safe to do so.

Robotic STEAM is concerned for the health and well-being of the entire community. Our individual actions affects not only our health and well-being, but also the health and well-being of every other person we interact with or who uses or inhabits the same spaces as us.

In order to keep our community safe, it is important that every family do their part by adhering to national, state, local and school health and safety guidelines and requirements, both in and out of the classroom. Required actions may include, without limitation, temperature checks, social distancing, wearing masks or other facial coverings, washing hands frequently with soap when possible, reporting suspected and positive infections, not reporting to class or work if sick, and isolating and quarantining when required by applicable law, regulation or mandate. If your child is sick please keep them home as any symptoms you may deem as mild may have a greater impact on other students should they become sick with your child’s cough, cold, flu, etc.

While these protective measures aim to mitigate the potential risks of becoming ill (including contracting COVID-19), none is 100% effective alone or in combination. Note that no in-person setting is immune from the possibility of spreading illness, and our program is no exception. However, as part of our community each of us has the responsibility to uphold these commitments and the right to expect the same from others.

By registering your child for our program, you agree to take these measures, not only for the health and safety of you and your child(ren), but also for the health and safety of the other members of our community, and because this is consistent with our mission and the spirit of caring for one another with which we operate.
